His sense of humor always made me laugh. Often he pretended to trip over his own feet. Last week I told him if you're hungry shake your head yes or no instead he just shrugged his shoulders. On Wednesday May 23, my mother's 95th birthday he ate 3 ice cream pops. One for breakfast, one for lunch and one for dinner. Maybe it was his way of celebrating her birthday. He loved ice cream and whenever we were all in Florida he would insist on stopping at Dairy Queen every night. Ice cream was one of his favorite foods and last.
My father's priority was to lovingly care for my mother up until his final moments. Previous to their marriage, which on June 2, 2018 would have been 72 years, he was a soldier. In the Air Force he bravely fought for the freedoms we all sometimes take for granted. He was devoted to his family completely. Helping his children, grandchildren, and great grand children whenever possible. May he rest peacefully. God bless him.
My Father was the patriarch of the LoCascio family. The oldest and the last to take his place in heaven. You were the best at all you did. The memories of the life lessons you taught us will always be in my heart.
