Tough generation I have a bunch of stories, but I will share one here. I forget what day it was, but it was shopping day. A hurricane was pounding the east coast with heavy rain and fallen trees. Mom gathered her shopping cart in one hand and my hand in her other hand and we headed out to P. S. 128 to take me to kinder garden. I think we only had to climb over one or two fallen trees. When we got to the school the gate was chained shut. Boy mom was mad. We made it so it should have been open. Now she had to drag me and the shopping cart to the avenue to shop. Hmmm most people would have stayed home, but it was SHOPPING day. Somehow we made it. So even a hurricane didn't stop her. If you see me at the funeral ask me about the snow storm. LOL
