Obituary for Rev. Msgr. Leonard F. Badia
Rev. Msgr. Leonard F. Badia, Ph.D. passed away on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 at his residence at Abbey Delray South Delray Beach, Florida at the age of 87. He was ordained a priest at St. James Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY, and belonged to the diocese of Brooklyn.
He retired to Florida in 2004 and has ministered at St. Vincent Ferrer parish in Delray Beach, Ascension parish in Boca Raton, St. Matthew in Lantana, and St. Thomas More in Boynton Beach, and most recently at Emmanuel in Delray Beach.
He is survived by Madeline Turan - niece (Richard Turan), Theresa Meade - niece (deceased), Christine Bianco – niece (Joseph Bianco), Leonard Badia– nephew, 12 great-nieces and nephews, and 10 great-great nieces and nephews.
He will be cremated and the cremains will be sent to the Brooklyn Diocese for burial at St. John's Priest's Cemetery
