Maria Ann Zunno born August 3, 1938 in New York City, New York and passed away on September 25, 2023. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her warm personality, generosity and immense love for her family.

Maria was born to the late Dominick and Antonina Agnello and was the sister to Mary Grace Winham. Maria was the proud mother of her two daughters Laura (Steven) Wagner and Lisa (Robert) Sherwood. She was also a cherished grandmother to Melissa Wagner, Mary Wagner and Lauren Sherwood.

Maria and her late husband (Carmine) were proud owners of a bagel store in Astoria, NY and a greeting card store in Staten Island, NY.

Maria’s priority was always her family. She was a compassionate caregiver to her mother and late husband. As her grandchildren came along, she was actively involved in raising them and beaming with immense pride in their accomplishments. Maria was an excellent cook and loved to host family gatherings and holidays. All were welcomed at her table.

Some of her favorite trips were to Disney with her grandchildren and Sicily to see where her father was born and spend time with his family.
