Thank you for being such a heroic, beautiful presence in my life. Thank you for helping to raise my dad and his siblings, who are amazing testaments to your love, compassion, and selflessness. I found the postcard that I meant to send you and Tio George from Savannah in my journal on Sunday. At the time, I thought it was too late and probably silly to send it so late, but now I wish I had.
