Romolo Fabiilli Obituary

Romolo Fabiilli, 79, passed away on April 26, 2016 at his home in Middle Village, NY. Romolo was born in Pacentro, Italy on December 31, 1936. He immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1954. In 1957, he married his sweetheart Luisa Silvestri in Middle Village where he later settled and raised his family.
Romolo worked as crew chief for American Airlines at JFK Airport where he was recognized for process improvements and innovative ideas which led to customer satisfaction. He retired after 42 years of service. He was also a licensed barber for many years and was considered “the best” by his clients.
Romolo loved classical and Italian folk music; playing the accordion; and dancing. He enjoyed world travel and spending time in his summer homes on Shelter Island and in Abruzzi. His family and friends lovingly remember him for his entertaining and funny stories.
Romolo is survived by his loving wife Luisa, his children Angela Ehresman and her husband Robert; Joseph and his wife Tara; Loraine Albanese and her husband Charles; his grandchildren Lauren Pierdipino and her husband Anthony; Robert; Alexandra; Danielle; Jacqueline; Gabrielle; Joseph; Victoria; and Andrew; and his great-grandson Antonino Romolo; his siblings Lino and his wife Amelia; the late Mario and his wife Maria; the late Remo and his wife Amelia; Gino and his wife Christina; Maria D’Ortenzio and her husband Theodoro; Teresa Cianferra and her husband Marco; and the late Renato and his wife Lina.
